Aberdeen American News/Sioux Falls Argus Leader - Sioux Falls Argus Leader and Aberdeen American News from Newsbank.

Access Newspaper Archive - Searchable worldwide newspapers from 1759-1977 (excluding South Dakota). View, print or save full page historical newspapers. Excellent resource for genealogical research plus able to integrate in the classroom as a resource for primary sources. Access inside K-12 school or public libraries only - no at home access.

AncestryLibrary - A library version of Ancestry.com's celebrated genealogical database that provides instant access to more than one billion names in more than 3,000 databases, including digital images of the 1790-1930 US Censuses, as well as immigration, vital, court, church, and ethnic records; city directories, genealogical societies, Social Security Death Index, family history library, Civil War Pension Index, and 700 historical maps. AncestryLibrary can be accessed exclusively on personal computers located within SD libraries and on SD campuses (academic, K-12, & SD government). 

AtoZ eJournals - Access to the State Library's AtoZ e-journals database from both library/campus IP-filtered PC's and from remote PC's, using library-cards/passwords.

Contemporary Authors - Provides complete biographical information about 100,000+ U.S. and international twentieth-century authors, as well as bibliographical information on 860,000 titles created by these authors, and references to further readings about each author. Includes entries for all authors in the 100+ volume "Contemporary Authors" series and the 88 volume "Contemporary Authors--New Revision Series". It is updated quarterly.

EBSCO - A grouping of different databases, including Academic Premier and Teacher Reference Center.

Gale Virtual Reference Library - An electronic database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and  reference sources for research.

HeritageQuest - Another genealogy database.

InfoTRAC -  A collection of different databases from the Gale group.

NetLibrary - NetLibrary provides access to the library’s eContent collection. eContent is the digital version of books, journals, and database content.

ProQuest - access to online versions of periodicals

Sanborn Maps - provides academic and public libraries digital access to more than 660,000 large-scale maps of more than 12,000 American towns and cities.

SDNA Newspapers - Searchable database of South Dakota newspaper articles. Library card bar-code numbers and passwords CANNOT be used to access SDNA Newspapers. There is no remote/home access to SDNA Newspapers.

SIRS Discoverer  -           a database to engage the young researcher.

SIRS Researcher  - Educational database for older students. best websites, chosen by teachers and librarians, are evaluated, annotated and organized by Library of Congress subject headings. Subject areas covered include curriculum areas and selected general reference sites

WebFeet - The best websites, chosen by teachers and librarians, are evaluated, annotated and organized by Library of Congress subject headings. Subject areas covered include curriculum areas and selected general reference sites.

WorldCatThe world's most comprehensive bibliography, with bibliographic records and information from 9,000+ libraries across the world, including those of the SD State Library and 25+ other SD libraries. WorldCat has records for any item/format that could be found in any library: musical scores, books, serial publications, computer files, Internet resources, sound recordings, archival materials, maps, and visual materials.
