Gifts from The Friends
The Friend of the Vermillion Public Library recently gave the library three wonderful gifts: A new bookshelf for the children's department, a new printer for the Circulation Desk, and a new digital camera!

The library would like to thank the Friends for all their hard work and for their generosity! The new additions to the library will be extremely valuable for years to come!
New Internet Policy
To ensure everyone is aware of the new policies and procedures relating to the updates, from
September 4th, we will be asking all patrons to sign a new Internet Agreement form. At this time they will also be given a copy of the new Internet Policy, the Technology Center Rules, and a Tech Center card, which can be shown to library staff when signing up to use the computers.Patrons under 16 will be asked to have their parents come into the
library and sign an agreement form on their behalf.The new Internet Policy, Technology Center Rules, and Internet
Agreement are also be posted on the website here.
Sharpen your skills
We've recently added a link to the Learning Express Library - a website that offers online practice tests ranging from the ACT to the SAT and many more in between. It also offers preparation guides and activities to hone workplace skills for career development or change.
You can find the link by visiting our Children's, Young Adult, and Adult Departments and looking through the suggested web links. Alternatively, click below:
Relocation, relocation, relocation
Due to the fact the we are rapidly running out of space at the Library - and still acquiring new books - we have had to reorganize the Adult General Fiction Collection. We have moved some books into a storage area, but they are still available to check out.
If there's a particular title that you're looking for and you can't find it, ask a Library staff member for assistance.

The University of South Dakota, Vermillion School District, Vermillion Public Library, Vermillion Chamber of Commerce, and the Senior Citizens Center would like to offer a variety of exciting courses to the citizens of Vermillion and surrounding areas this fall.

We are proud to announce that we have recently added 4 new computers with the help of the South Dakota State Library and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation! With the Gates Staying Connected Grant we replaced two tech center computers, and two card catalog computers!
