Our

The purpose of the library is to maintain a current collection of print and non-print materials in all areas: educational, social, political, occupational, creative and spiritual.
History
The date January 13, 1902 is an important one for the people of Vermillion. On that day about one hundred people met at the Masonic Hall to organize a club with the purpose of establishing a public library.

Funds in the amount of $10,000 were appropriated by Andrew Carnegie in 1903, and the building began to materialize.
Since then, the library has been supported by the city, with contributions from the county. A new library building was built beside the old one in 1978. In 1998, the interior of the current building underwent renovations.
